I applied for a Target VISA and they gave me a guest card. They pulled Experain and my score was something close to 600, with one 120 day late from 2/2001, two charge-offs from '99 and '98, and I think a forclosure from '98 still showing. Oh, not to mention two dismissed chapter 13 bankruptcies from '98. I really wanted the VISA though...$200 Target card, bleh!
When I try for a target they pull equifax which is my worst score at 589 and turn me town. They never touch my TU 663 or my EX 630. How did you get them to pull experian.
You say they never touch anyone but EQ for you...How many times have you applied? You should not keep reapplying. If you get denied ask for a reconsideration if that doesn't work then you are not going to get one with the same critera. Don't waste the inquiry.
I tried 2 times. I figure if it is eq then with my creditwatch it should come off eventually with that whole inquiry push.
I didn't, just remembered wrong! It *was* Equifax. The only thing different is that there was no foreclosure listed on my EFX report. According to Privista my score was 555. I think my mortgage FICO is higher though, at least it was in June (see my sig). There was also a collection account listed, though it was in dispute at the time, and a new line-of-credit with my bank had just been reported in June, account opened in May. I think it must be pretty easy to get a Target guest card though, as it's the first unsecured card I have been able to get. It may also just be that everything else I have applied for pulled TU, my worst score!
