I am looking for a store card or cc that uses equifax. Right now my equifax score is 645. I have no collections or anything unpaid. I have a settled cc from 5 years ago and a paid chargeoff cc from 4 years ago. My revolving account though is 100%(just a lousy 1000) and I have 6 inquiries within the last 6 months. Does anyone know of a sure thing I can get. I usually get turned down but a collection was just removed and I gained 40 points so it says I have no derogatory info.
picantel- I think Household's GM Card checks Equifax exclusively however - if your TU score is over 650 - maybe you should go for Generations bank - i think they check TU only - and approve at 650 and over
Nobody could ever tell you with 100% certainty that you would get a card and that the credit grantor would pull only from Equifax. I got a Target Visa with only a 625 last year, That is an option for you, not a guarantee.
We tried generations bank. They said, and I am not 100% sure on the exact % here, that even though I had the score my debt to income ratio has to be 38% or lower and mine was 39% so they turned me down. Personally I think that was a little lame because if they let me BT my 2 low limit cards I would be under it.
