Cap one has hit me 7 times in the past 6 months on Equifax with AR's. I keep trying to do a search on the board but I am getting timed out.

    Hi,

I noticed this on my reports also.

    They do ALOT of AR's.

    It is soooooo aggravating!!!!!!!!!!!

On my report they are listed under the section that states that these are seen only by you.
    (Soft inquiries).

I don't mean to double post, but I always thought an annual review meant once per year.

AR's = Account Reviews. Your credit card company takes a look at your credit report.

THE FOLLOWING INQUIRIES ARE NOT REPORTED TO BUSINESSES:
PRM - This is a promotional inquiry in which only your name and address were given to a credit grantor so you could be solicited
with an offer such as a credit card. (PRM inquiries remain on file for 12 months.)
AM or AR - These inquiries indicate a periodic review of your credit history by one of your creditors (AM and AR inquiries remain
    on file for 12 months.)
EQUIFAX, ACIS or UPDATE - These inquiries indicate Equifax's activity in response to your contact with us for either a copy of
your credit file or a request for research.
PRM, AM, AR, INQ, EQUIFAX, ACIS and UPDATE inquiries do not show on credit files that businesses receive, only on copies
    provided to you.

Oh, thanks, I mistakenly called it an annual review.

    I knew better ;-)

See, this is why I am so glad you always answer before I do, or after I do, and your answers are always better !!!!!!!!!! :)

OK. My bad. I read the remain on your report 12 months part and did not bother to read farther. Sorry :)

George, don't you work for Wal-Mart? This probably has more to do with your employment than your credit. Many times credit reports are used as an unofficial "character reference."

Heh, then that brings back George's original question, "WHAT ARE THEY LOOKING FOR?" what can they possibly accomplish by pulling every other week, George? you have a bad gambling habit or something we don't know about? :)))

There is NO way to tell if it is WAL*MART credit card or WAL*MART EMPLOYMENT inquiry...

And I doubt anybody I work with has EQUIFAX CW or even has pulled a report in the last 6 months...
