Allied Interstate was who I had my citibank charge off collection with. This office was one in MN. They folded like a deck of cards when I asked them to validate the debt. They are the reason that I found creditnet. I even offered to pay them before finding this board. What a joke they were. They called me 5 times a day (at least) and ran like a baby when I learned how to deal with them. Before I knew my rights I was SCARED TO DEATH to answer my phones. The guy was extremly rude to the point I would almost cry. I do not cry easily. Hope I've helped. Oh and by the way if the collector is Marcus tell him ohnostuck said to suck on an egg. +
ohnostruck - thank you so much for that information! Do you have the contact people? The address that you used to communicate with them?? They appear on one of my credit reports.. I plan on sending validation, then suing immediately right after if there is a lack of response.. thanks!
I'm not sure what type of response I'll get by sending it to a PO BOX.. but I'll send something out here as well..
Ender, They have a website at www.alliedinterstate.com You better check on LKHs post to make sure this is the right company. Allied Interstate goes by SEVERAL names, as you will see on the webiste. I am sorry I do not have any contact info for them other then I remember them being in MN. Below is a map with all of their locations. Good luck http://irmc.com/ushome/aboutus/locations.cfm Edited....I found that info. If I remember correctly your mail to them will get bounced around quite a bit. It took 2 weeks to get my green card back, Allied Interstate, Inc. PO Box 9352 Minneapolis, MN 55440 (800) 942-0174
Shoot...OK looking at the green card now that they signed for. The address is 800 Interchange West 435 Ford Road Minneapolis, Minnesota 55426 The other address is where they request that you send payment to.
Oh looky.... http://consumers.creditnet.com/straighttalk/board/showthread.php?s=&postid=150320#post150320 Remember I said I hated that guy? Hehe They lost and they didn't like it. Poor babies.
thanks for all the help everyone.. now taking a closer look at what happened.. looks like Discover originally owned it, then sold it to allied INT.. then sold it to Credit Trust. Credit Trust is the one that is actually reporting on my CR. I am going to file a lawsuit ASAP against them because I've sent them multiple letters.. I believe their address is: Creditrust 7000 Security Blvd FL 2 Baltimore, MD 21244
Even worse....Creditrust was bought by NCO when they filed BK.... February 22, 2001 NCO Group completes Creditrust merger Accounts-receivable collector NCO Group Inc., subsidiary NCO Portfolio Funding Inc., completed its merger with Creditrust Corp. of Baltimore, which buys delinquent credit-card debt. The new company will be called NCO Portfolio Management Inc. Fort Washington-based NCO Group will own 63 percent, while legacy shareholders of Creditrust will own 11 percent; former creditors will own the remainder. The merger is in conjunction with Creditrust's bankruptcy reorganization plan.
What will happen if I try and validate against credit trust tho? Will the mail just get forwarded to nco? will i get a reply saying that it was bought by NCO?
I had hard inq on TU, July 2002 from Allied Int. TU stated the address was: Allied International 555 West Adams Chicago, Il 60661 No phone number given. I sent CRRR regarding the inquiry and the entire envelope was returned as "The intended recipient is NOT at this address". If I ever do find them they owe me a grand.
