What does a "TRI-MERGED" mortgage inquiry show up as???

Is it held against you like you applied for a credit card???

Hi George, it shows like a hard inqury but shows it was for a morgage, it shows on all three reports, and is most likley counted since it is a hard.

A tri-merged mortgage inquiry is basically all 3 reports combined together. Many times something will show in one report while not being in the others. Also, the scoring and info is geared more towards what is important to a mortgage lender rather than another type of lender. While the basic info is the same for each bureau, the interpretation is diferent.

    Hopes this helps.
