I sent the following E-mail to EQ/CSC RE:"unknown" dates and failure to report proper credit limits resulting in derogatory proportion of balances/limits as a major factor in lowering FICO. What do you think? ATTN: Vicki Banks(Equifax), Robin Holland(Equifax), Maynard Bryant(Equifax), Dreama Croft(CSC) The following inaccurate information is currently baing reported by Equifax/CSC and must be immediately removed as to protect my rights afforded me by the FCRA as well as the Constitution of the United States of America. CAP 1 BANK (Individual) Acct # XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX According to my Credit Report provided 8/14/02 by Equifax via Credit Watch Services the following "Payment History" is being reported in violation of Federal Law and must immediately be removed from my report as being Incomplete, as well as Inaccurate in accordance with the Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). 2 "Unknown" 30-day Late Dates 1 "Unknown" 60-day Late Date 1 "Unknown" 90+ day Late Date Inaccurate "Credit Limit/High Credit" amount is being reported inaccurately in violation of the Federal FCRA. Due to Equifax/CSC failure to abide by the Laws of The United States of America, my current proportion of balances to credit limits on revolving/charge accounts is reported fraudulently as 375%. By fraudulently reporting this grossly inaccurate information, Equifax/CSC has wittingly and knowingly adversely affected my FICO score leading to my having to pay higher interest rates in order to obtain credit. Equifax/CSC has , in the past, and continues to violate my rights as a U.S. citizen, and exposed their liability to actual, as well as punitive damages, due me. My only request is that Equifax/CSC provide 100% accurate, and 100% complete information as required bt the Federal FCRA. Please immediatley respond and correct these violations of my rights, as to prevent the neccessity for me to take further action in protecting my Constitutional rights. I must inform you that I sending copies of this request via PlanetFeedback to the following parties: Thomas F Chapman , CEO Equifax 1600 Peachtree St. N.W. Atlanta, GA 30309 Federal House Asa Hutchinson (R) Federal Senate Blanche L. Lincoln (D) Federal Senate Tim Hutchinson (R) State Secretary of State Sharon Priest Thank you in advance to your prompt attention regarding this matter. T-Man
OOH, I like that. I can't wait to hear how it works, because hubbies student loans have a couple of unknown dates. I'd love to get even a couple removed that way.
I had "unknown lates" on my EQ and they were deleted with a phone dispute via CSC. Have you already tried that? I just know that with TU, I raised a lotta hell, and now I'm in their "Priority Dept" and I find it a lot tougher to dispute anything. The person knows nothing, but thinks she knows everything because she's a little higher up the food chain. Charlie
I called eq. to dispute unknown lates on some accounts. The CSR said there is not enough room on a report to report every late payment. That is not my fault. I will start to draft my letter later today. Board, Holla at your boy.
They gave me the same song and dance. I have 10 UNKNOWN late payments. I have disputed the lates several times without any success.
