Well I called the # on the back of my guest card and they wouldn't help me at all. They told me that the intrest rate is fixed and cannot be changed , and that the account has to be open at least 6 months with payment history before they can consider an increase in limit. Obviously it just depends on who picks up the phone at credit services.
Give them the old, "Baby needs school clothes, a Palm Pilot, ect." I just told them it was not enough credit also.
Do you HAVE to ask to be transferred to credit services ? It gave me the option to hit #2 for credit services. (cant remember if it was actually #2 that got me there) I knew I coulnd't get a increase in LOC right now, but figured they'd decrease the APR at least. Mine is a guest card, you hold the guest card as well anna, right ?
I told them that my credit limits on my other cards were much higher and thats the main reason I was asking. She said "Oh, im sorry I can't help."
Yea, but that's a horse of a different color. I've never gotten an apr drop on the guest card. However, after having the card three months, I got a $300 increase via planetfeedback, then another $100 through the automated telephone system three months later. Anna
Ah so they dont drop it on the guest card ? Alright, I guess I mis read something somewhere. After I have the card for a few months I'll ask for a increase by calling them or PFB. Funny thing is the automated card info (such as balance, payment etc) said that I have a $0.00 balance, when its $48. I guess their automated phone system is slower than their online estatement info.
They didn't for me, well they didnt have enough time. It wasn't even a 2 second lapse after I asked before she said no. LOL
I don't know. The rep said she would"review my account" Took about a minute. I'm hoping that that's all she did. Anna
Dang, took all of three seconds for him to tell me that I already had the apr reduced and it can never be reduced again! And that COL happen automatically I did notice though that the number you listed above is different then the number on the back of my card. I am in the Southeast, I wonder if it makes a difference that maybe we are calling different regional offices or something.
Ok, i tried to call earlier and they so they don't do manual increases. So again after reading about being transferred to "credit services" I called again. Well their customer service is "credit services". The rep answered "this is Dan in credit services". So I am a little confused here.
You guys with the visa card, when the regular cust service rep says they can't do anything, ask to be transferred to someone who has the authority to override and make a decision. You aren't speaking with the correct people.
I was turned down flat for a limit increase a couple of days ago, and when I asked tp speak with someone else, was told there is no one else. Shrug. I'll try again tomorrow.
'Yall Are Calling the WRONG Number! As we can see here - there are lots of mixed responses. PLEASE do a search, here, to find the number for TARGET AUTHORIZATION. The people there can do a limit increase instantly -- ONCE EVERY 90 DAYS. APR reductions are a function of retention - "SPECIAL SERVICES" .. don't give up on 1 call - keep calling until you get what you believe you deserve. -mj
Re: 'Yall Are Calling the WRONG Number! Ok, I called Target Visa today and asked to be transferred to "Target Authorization" I was transferred to someone who told me that it was too soon for an increase since I only had the card a month. So basically I am giving up with the Visa increase for now. Also, I called Target Guest Services for my retail card. I talked to a rep who transferred me to a manager. They wanted to run a "hard" inquiry. I told them that they do an AR on my credit every month and that I have had that card for 5 years with no lates or over the limit. Well the manager gives me a 200.00 increase without an inquiry. Better than nothing I guess.
