correct information on all three of my CR's (ex credit limits). Has anyone had this problem? Who did you talk to?

    Thanks

A lot of people are having problems with Experian not reporting credit limits on citi cards. I sent a fax with a copy of a statement showing cl last week, but as of today they have not updated it.

Very interesting, Experian is the CRA not reporting my Citi AT&T card credit limits. When I called my CC company some no nothing said they did not report CL's. But when I checked my other reports ALL had the credit limit posted correctly. I just put both mine and my husbands report in dispute over this. Citi admitted via e-mail that they do in fact report credit limits. It is really crazy> I am not sure what is going on. Whoses doing is this...Experian or the CC company.

I have a revolving loc that also shows no cl on Experian. I have no doubt that it is Experian doing this. Equifax and TU both show the citi limits.

I would recommend you to write or send fax to:

    Citibank Credit Bureau Disputes
    PO Box 6241
    Sioux Falls, SD 57177

    Fax (605) 330-6780

that's what I did and they fixed it within week or so.

Will that address work on the CITI AT&T Universal card as well? Is that a generic Citi number?

If your card is issued by CITIBANK SOUTH DAKOTA NA then the answer is YES.

I have spoken to several people at Citi reguarding this. They claim that they send credit limit to Citi and they have dozens of calls a day about this. I got a nice rep through credit bureau disputes to send them a letter via fax and snail mail. I will let you know if that works.

BTW LKH Experian WILL NOT accept a statement as proof of credit limit.

I'm actually dealing with Credit Data Southwest, their affiliate. They told me to fax it. I'm going to call in the a.m. and ask why it hasn't been updated yet. If they tell me it is in dispute, we are going to have a problem.

I complained to Citi last week about this. Today I got a letter from the stating my credit limit, it also said that they would send this information to all three CRA's.

The problem is Experian not Citibank. I have had several accounts that were not reporting CLs through Experian, although they were reporting them on TU and Equifax. Remember the Amex CL controversy? Discover is also not reporting a CL for me on Experian, although the other two are reporting it.

Experian isn't going to do anything, unless we bombard the creditor. They are the voice, not us. If the creditors starting received hundreds of phone calls a day and have to deal with angry clients, maybe they will lambast Experian.

This isn't a trivial matter either. I had about 14000 of credit limit that was not reporting and consequently credit expert had my credit usage at 67%!! It should have been around 30%. This is not good especially if you are applying for credit.

For those of you who have called! What department are you speaking with about this problem? I called today..... The guy I spoke with, Jay, told me that I have to wait up to SIX months b/f they will do anything! They are saying that my account is to new (four months old)!

The thing is.. Eq has no credit limit except for my husbands account (I'm an Au on). EXP only shows ONE tradeline that's (the AA account I closed to open the Plat) They don't show anything else!!! Tu isn't reporting any CR limits on mine or my husbands! I'm very pissed off about this &hit!!!!!!

I've already wrote the letter and I'm sending it off today. I just wanted to know if anyone has had any luck via phone?????

    You are very welcome MartysGirl.
BTW Ms Lang called today to inform me that Citibank is working together with Experian to resolve that reporting issue.

I believe it was her that called me this morning. She was very nice and the problem was resolved. It was all Experians' fault. Big Surprise there.

Not true. I sent EX copies of my C1 statements and they updated my report to show the true credit limits for both C1 cards.
