I'd like to say thank you to all on this board. The last of my student loans went away last week and my FICO scores (as told by my mortgage broker): EXP - 691 EFX - 653 (same as CW) TU - 665 (same as TU FICO on site) In June 2001, they were: EXP - 493 EFX - 494 TU - 491 My BK from 1997 still sits there but doesn't seem to be killing me anymore. I'm now in quasi-prime land and will close on my new home October 30th. I could not have done it without this board. Thanks for your help and support.
I've given up on the BK - I've disputed several times and failed to get it removed. It doesn't seem to be hurting me too badly now so I'll call it a day.
Congrats. Glad to hear another creditnet victory. Now, don't do what many others that have finished their cleanup do and leave the board. We need you here to pass along the experiences. Congrats again.

tmitchell, amazing!! Our scores are almost the same, and my bankruptcy filing date is 1997. Like you, I said I was complete a couple of months ago; but, unfortunately, I am a credit repair addict - OKAY IM GUILTY!!. I couldn't let it rest. I went back to my credt repair and was able to remove a bankruptcy on my TU credit report. Currently, I disputing EQ and EX and pushing real hard for them to delete. I also sent out an ESTOPPEL letter to a creditor and he is sending me a UDF letter to delete two negative accounts. Also, I am still working with Capital One to fixed the R5 issue or delete (once I dispute). Anyway, CONGRATS!!! I wish I had your spirit. I just can't get enough. I guess it is my ADD. BTW, after those two negative accounts are deleted and the Capital One charge off is fixed, most of my accounts are "included in BK". The only thing that scares me about disputing these included in BK accounts over and over again is it drops my score. But, I am an addict and will keep going for perfection. Please pray for me.
