Today I was able to dispute inquries over the phone with Experian. I had to ask for the "Special Services" unit or the fraud department. After I explained that I didn't apply for credit, insurance or employment and the creditor was not responsive to my requests for validation. The representative immediately put the six hard inquiries in dispute. I couldn't believe it. This was after I talked with a customer service drone who insisted inquiries could not be disputed and by law had to remain on the report for two years. Has anyone else had similar experiences?
Has anyone told a CSR that less than 90 days ago EX would let you dispute inquiries, and why would they change their policies if the law hasn't changed? Charlie
