OK, checked in on CE this morning and my score is down 7 points. I don't see any changes, no balance changes, no new tradelines, no new inquiries... Does CE score change BEFORE somehting is posted to the credit report? Anything else I might be missing that dropped my score?
Something similar happened to us a few months ago and it turned out to be a balance that only changed by a few dollars but that small change put our utilization at over 50%. Actually, our score drop was even more dramatic. If I'm remembering correctly it dropped the score 19 points. The good news was, it came right back up the next month when the balance was paid back down. Cap1 is the worst culprit in this regard because they report your highest usage as your limit. In our case, a $167 balance showing on a $183 high credit was what cost us 19 points. Ridiculous huh? I don't know of anything that would affect your score BEFORE you were able to see it on your report. Maybe someone else can think of another possibility. DemPooches
Check your report carefully. I had an increase of seven points in one day because Cap 1 reported and my utilization percentage dropped 2%.
