I have a judgement from 1997....$550....It's only on my EXP report.....should I dispute it? Does disputing a judgemnt work the same as disputing everything else? Thanks Me
Yes disputing a judgement does work the same way as diputing everything else. What are you waiting for? You gotta start somewhere, go ahead and dispute the judgement.
I had two public records deleted just last month that accounted for almost $7000 in debt. Try disputing if anything at all is inaccurate then they need to delete.
Actually before you dispute that judgment, make sure that the address that is associated with the judgment is off of your exp. report. In other words, dispute the old address 1st which should be no problem and once they remove it, than go ahead and dispute the judgment itself. CRA usually verify @ least 2 pieces of info with judgments....name, social & address. Since the social is usually not listed on the judgement and the addresses will not match because you have had it deleted than the judgment shouldn't be verified leading to a deletion. I had my judgement and tax lien disputed off all but EXP. I just sent in a procedural request to them yesterday, because I had the address deleted, and my SSN doesn't show up anywhere on the judgement. I'm hoping that they delete it, but at the very least mark it as paid, and it comes off in a year. In my proc. request, I modified it to say that they verified it as accurate twice, and it's absolutely inaccurate, so times up, no more verifying, only deleting. Probably won't work, but we can hope!
Definitely dispute the judgment. I had a 2500.00 judgement that was disputed on EXP and TU, they both were deleted. I disputed with EFX today. And they said that I would know within 21 to 30 days. To tell you the truth was afraid to dispute. But all that does is waste your time because that is the logical place to start. Dispute as "not mine."
A lot of times there are errors or judgment is improperly served & it can be vacated BUDGET HOMES CO. >>
You can dispute it, but most often it will come back verified. I disputed judgment and it did not get deleted. I then filed a motion to have it vacated. It was granted. EX is the only one who hasn't deleted it yet. Next week, I file my lawsuit against EX.
Maybe or maybe not. Are you looking to get it off your reports or off your back? Budget Homes Co. LB 59 owner
