Applied today with Peoplefirst. I live in NJ and they pulled Experian and Equifax. My scores are 689 FAKO and 701 FICO respectively. They called and needed additional information. I have one item each on Experian and Equifax in dispute. They asked about each dispute. One item is a collection that truly is not mine (EQ) and the other was a comment I disputed on EX on a trade line with no derogotory information. I knew that Equifax marks "item in dispute" but did not know that creditors could see that notation with Experian. At this moment I do not have an answer from them. I will post the results when I have them. Hopefully they will give me the 4.75% rate .
Peoplefirst is an auto lending company. My wife and I need a new car and the 5.49 for 60 months (excluding the 0% incentives now active) was the best terms I have found. We are either going to purchase a Saturn or a Ford Windstar.
So who did they actually pull to seal the deal? My TU is now 687(yahoo!) and I will get my EXP tomorrow. I wanted to get a new car in October, this sounds good. Thanks for the info.
They pulled both EQ and EX. They looked at both. It may be different in your state. I am in NJ. The Ford dealer came up with 5.99% and anything above 680 would get you a good loan via most dealerships. The 5.49 (4.75 for 36 months) was the best rate I found anywhere. If Peoplefirst can't give you the best rate, they will give you a higher rate. With them no downpayment is required. Good luck with your auto loan.
