Does anyone know of affordable auto insurance for people with bad credit in Texas? My insurance premium just doubled with Farmers Ins.

Try Germania. They saved me about 40%, and have saved a couple of friends some cash also. They are based in Brenham, maybe they'll throw in some Blue Bell. Charlie

Farmers Ins is in big trouble. The AG is about to hammer them with a huge lawsuit, and Farmers is saying that they may pullout of Texas. Reshod, you may want to add that the Longhorns are #2. ;) Charlie

I'm with State Farm, and they didn't check my credit. After shopping around, I found they were the cheapest in my area (Bryan/College Station)

I was with Farmers. Had been since 1988.

They jacked up my rates when they started pulling CR's in 2000, even though the BK13 had been on my report since 96, and I was a preferred customer until then. I know it doesn't make any sense, but that was reality.

on the advice of Breeze, I checked with Geico. I asked them not to pull a CR, and they did not. I got a good rate with them because of no accidents for last 5 years, and multiple cars.

if you email Breeze you might get some good hints. I think she is recognized as the "expert" in the insurance area, or at least one of the ones in the know.

    I am in Dallas, BTW.

    Gig em, Aggies !
