EQ FICO drop with or after the inq?

My wife is applying for a Business LOC that requires a 780 FICO score (I know!) She had exactly that yesterday, before the score was pulled.

This morning, norhing has changed except for the pull's showing up (only her second inquriy on record, thanks to bumpage. :) ) However, her score is down to a 773. So, I can safely assume it was the pull that did it.

The question is, would the company who pulled see the 780 or 773?

If CW was truly unlimited, she could have pulled yesterday afternoon, but of course that isn't possible now (GRR...)

    TIA, Dave

The loss of points was caused by the report being pulled. They saw the 780. I know this to be a fact as I have tested it twice. The first was when I bought my car. They pulled equifax. I checked before they pulled and it was 720. They also got 720. When I got home I checked again and it was 717 and the inquiry showed. This exact scenario happened last week with Amex.

Thanks for replying LKH. That's what I thought.

Last month, I had a similar situation, but it didn't work as a test since the additional inquiry didn't change the score that time.
