Does your score increase temporarily when you dispute some things? Starting out my FICO (EQ) was 513 a couple days ago. I just joined Credit Watch so I can take advantage of bumpage (only $39.95 a year :) any way my score is now 536....???

yes your score does go up when you dispute a neg TL, I disputed 2 and my score jumped 91 points.

Now I am just hoping that they will be deleted, I like the Idea of no negitive tls

Now I know this works on EQ, how do the lenders see you? I mean, they still see the full report. If I were to put everything in dispute and get a 700 score, would target approve me with all the derogs in dispute? Would Amex?

    Depends on the lender.

Some lenders only look at the score, others will deny you because of the derogs that they can still see but are in dispute.

Target, GM Card and Amex did not deny be because of derogs and an inflated FICO, but Juniper and others did.

Martig4 as always thanks for you help. To get in the range of the Target or GM card what do I need to have?

Target Visa pulls both EQ and EX for me
Amex pulls both EQ and EX
only GM pulls EX which is my best score 600 even.

I am waiting to get inq. down on EX.

My inq. count is EQ 0 EX 6 TU 0
If I get EX to 0, hopefully I will be in the 650 range. then we can think about applying for something

OK, I've been doing the dispute "gammit (sp?)" for almost two years and I'm wondering what

    "take advantage of bumpage" means??

Ok I am guessing what taking advantage of bumpage means.........but what if they are refusing to investigate something because they investigated it on xxxx/2001 (no joke!!) I am wondering if anything can go any higher for me until I pay my balances down, which STINKS because I want some new cards now. I am sick of high interest.
