I have been listening to everyone talk about Mr. Cooke and the great benefits of this card, but how do I apply? I tried the website, but there is no mention of it. Do they still offer this secured card with $49 down and $300 cl to help rebuild credit?

    TIA

They do, but they send the offer to you in mail. Now it is a $49 deposit, $49 annual fee $200 cl, platinum card...lol

Dont forget the 49 annual fee is charged right when you get the card. So it's $98 the first statement

This is true christie. Plus they conceal the $49 annual fee and try to cloak it by making the deposit $49 and telling you they will refund it after one year. You have to pay close attention or you will think that the annual fee and the $49 deposit are the same thing and you will get it back...Not.

Why try to deceive like this? I really do not understand why everyone loves them sooooo much...lol

If you need secured CC you better go with Bank of America. They will charge you fee too but after 1 or 2 years you will be eligible for unsecured CC and very nice credit line...much higher than with Capital One. Also Bank of America report to the CRA's very fast and accurate.

For the Bank of America secured card they will not approve you if you have a bankruptcy in your credit report.

I got the Cap 1 with a $500 limit w/$49 deposit. Has it changed? I just received that this year in March.

Bank of Louisiana has a secured card with only a $15 fee.

Thanks so much for your responses. I apologize for not checking sooner. I was out of town for the weekend. I will definately check into BoA and Bank of Louisiana.
