Just got off the phone with a dealer in my area, who says they pull EX, if I want. For GMAC you need a 620 to qualify for 0% (I cannot do this because it is only 3 years 1300.00 payment)

I will likely try for the 5 year 3.9%, He asked about my credit and I said I have 3 tl, and student loans and a judgement in Dispute. He said GMAC may not approve because of my tls. Asked how high my limits were, I said 800.00 but. He said nothing higher I said amex 5800 (it is an AU)

The dealer is willing to sell it for 300 over invoice that is 5600 under the msrp.

Anyway, I am wondering what to do as my EX fako states exactly 600. I do not want to put anything down. What do you think board? Do I have a chance or what?

I just acquired a auto loan through GMAC. It seems that they take your FICO and add a few ingrediants to the equation. The result? Your auto fico is a little bit higher than your fico. My auto fico was approx. 653 or 657. My actual fico from the equifax site was about 632.

I also had some items reporting incorrectly on my report (imagine that!) and I gave them documentation showing that certain items were either paid off or were supposed to be deleted.

    I hope that this helps.

    Sirrowan,
The judgement is currently being disputed and I hope I get the report back from TU showing the deletion of the same judgement. (It did not appear on EX, until a month after TU) I hope that besides that I can get the car. I don't want any funny business like if you put more down garbage. I want the 3.9% and ) down. I am a CN, I will not bow down to grantors tricks anymore.

Okay everybody that was over at the very upset post. You must now post a constructive response to this post. Or go straight to your room.

    This is also a bump

I saw your post on the other thread, and I still cannot answer your question, or offer a constructive response, but I'm gonna get you bumped back up to the top. ;-)

    Hey KBanger,

Sounds like you're on the right track, just keep up the good work.

You may want to rethink your position on "no downpayment". They may want a little bit from you but it'd be worth it for a good rate.

    Good Luck, keep us posted.

    :)

    kbanger,

Others have posted that the fakeO score you get is usually lower than the one provided to the lender.

    You may be ok.

At the TU site, this still chaps my butt but would be good for you to know, you can purchase your lender score for $12.95.

Others have posted it is substantially higher than what they had thought based on the consumer TU free score.

Thank you Butch, Sassy, Martig4 and the others who posted a response to this thread. For those of you who have yet to respond. Punishments and garnishment of allowances can be avoid with a useful post to this thread.

this is also a bump for me, its early in the morning.

Did you choose a car that has the rebate? I had to "give up" the rebate in place of a down payment and a higher interest rate. My rate is 2/9%.

I realize that you do not want to bow down to grantors' tricks anymore, but sometimes you have to give alittle.

The rebate is only 1K, the interest rate I want is the 3.9% which will save me more than 1K. My score is now 602, thanks Doc Trick. I am waiting to get to 630, before I make any moves.

    KBanger,

Did you actually purchase your new car yet?

Just curious what kind of deal you found on financing and the car itself.

Not yet waitng for judgement dispute to finish. As of today I am at 602 on EX. Want to make sure I am in the 630 range before going to the dealer. I have found one that will sell it at 300 over invoice. Thanks so much for the Friendly info. I used them to wrestle my dealer here. To fly to MN and drive back would have added 1500 miles to the car and then the expense. So I had them quote me and then went to a nearby dealer to see if they could match or beat.
Dealer knows I am waiting for score to incr.

I'm glad you could get a good price and that Mr. Langworthy could at least be leverage. I can understand not wanting to buy away from home unless its a REALLY GOOD deal.

Hopefully the Judgement comes off. How many days until Paydirt?
