    I'm reading peoples posts about the tri-merged screw ups, and I started researching old posts, now I'm really nervous about it. I've been working really hard to clean up my reports, I'm afraid that when I apply for something, the tri-merged report that a mortgage broker sees is going to be all screwed up. When I'm done w/ the individual reports, do I have to get the tri-merged one and start all over? It sounds like a stupid idea, putting all 3 in one, if they can't seem to make it look like the same report that you would see if you got it individually. I have a lien and a judgement that got deleted w/ not mine disputes, and I'm totally paranoid about them being reinserted (I can't believe my good luck to have them deleted in the first place, I guess!!)

    I know! That's what I'm afraid of. If they can screw up so much on a single one, I can't imagine what my tri-merged is going to look like. Anyone know how long it would take to get it all straightened out, if you have all the CR's saying they deleted items? I still have work to do on the individuals, but I thought I was getting close. I'll have to check the trimerged after, to make sure they keep that clean too. What a pain in the butt!!

    You could not possibly pull ALL the tri-merged reports that are offered to check and see.

    I am NOT afraid in the slightest of this happening because I have recent reports from all 3 (hard copies) STRAIGHT from the horses mouth.

    If I went to a mortgage agent who told me he/she saw derogatory information that I KNOW is not on my hard copies, I would use my skills of communication to explain to them that their report is just plain wrong. If they would simply check what EXPERIAN has for my report rather than trusting what some 3rd party tells them that EXPERIAN has for my report, I am sure they will find out the truth and I would surely be able to clear things up...

    If I could not get things cleared up that way, I would move on to another mortgage agent...but EVEN if I could get them to understand, I would return to sue the TRI-MERGE company that reported information that CLEARLY Experian did not have on my reports or EXPERIAN for information that they did not disclose to me on my request, and I would then get my house for free (or at least my big screen tv and surround sound HIFI system for the living room).

    -Peace, Dave

    Was this for a large mortgage?

    § 605. Requirements relating to information contained in consumer reports [15 U.S.C. § 1681c]

    Exempted are:

    (1) a credit transaction involving, or which may reasonably be expected to involve, a principal amount of $150,000 or more;

    Is it that Fla-tan ran your report anticipating a larger loan?

    In which case yes, more info. would be available, by law.

    Also depends on why this judgement was deleted.

    ???

    You live in constant fear. Is it really worth it?

    How much do you owe?

    I thought I owed nothing in bad debt, but I just got a bill for an $800 past tuition bill, that I don't know what to do w/. trying to find out if there is a SOL on these things. It's just about 6 yrs old, and for classes I never attended (but I can't prove it because some professor actually gave me an incomplete, dumb a$$--I never even walked thru the doors) BTW, this is nowhere on my reports as of yet!

    On hubbys reports, we owe a little less than $900 left in collections. I know it sounds like a little, but right now, it's a lot!!
