You should probably scan through the FAQ and the Glossary.

Bump can be many things, even on Creditnet.

The 2 most popular definitions are:

    1) <bump>: To bring a post back up to the top of the list, "bump"ing it up - Defined in the glossary and the FAQ

    2) Bumpage: To remove your inquiries one at a time from your report using the "amass so many they get bumped off" technique.

Bumping: A dance from back in the day (read 70's), LOL.

    sorryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy charlie,

In the 80's the bump took on a whole new meaning, LOL, something to do with drive-ins and back seats if I'm remembing right.

actually, you're both right. There's the 70's disco shuffle bump and the 80's booty bump.
you might be thinking of "knocking boots" in the 80's.

    LOL humblemarc,

What was the bump of the 90's? and do I even wanna know what today's bump is?

This could be more defining than the baby-boomers, generation x, generation 9-11 (can you believe that?)

hmm.. the 90's I don't know about everywhere else, but in NYC, it was all about the rave-techno "bump" but that had nothing to do with actually dancing ;)

    Hey Sassy,
While you were dreaming of John Travolta, i remembered "i don't see nothin' wrong with a little BUMP and GRIND" by pedophile. . . err, alleged pedophile, R. Kelly. I think that was in '94.

    humblemarc,

Your post last night made me realize I missed a whole decade of rave-techno bumping!

I don't have a clue what that is -- tell me what I missed, please.

And, the 80's backseat drive-in bump didn't have much to do with dancing either ;-)

John Travolta!!!!!!!!! He was just singing and have a reunion with fave Olivia!

Now where does the Rocky Horror Picture Show fit in? LOL

Not that i've ever done any of these things, but one would take a bump of Ecstasy(sp?) sort of like acid.
I remember watching "Saturday Night Fever" before going to my prom. God, i miss the BeeGees!!
