As I posted some time ago...I will not apply for another credit card until I am ready to apply for Amex Blue. Once I get this card, its going to be bye bye to all of my cards except Citi and Cap One. I figure three cards is a good round number...lol. At any rate...can someone please post the underwriting criteria for Blue?

    Thanks in advance!

I got denied with a 682 and no derogs :( I thought someone posted that they didn't pay much attention to ratios, but I'd like to hear someone confirm that from experience before I apply. Also...are they anti new accounts? (ie if you have opened...oh...say five new accounts in the last nine months, will they hold that against you?)

    Thanks!

They told me they wanted to see either 2 or 3 cc accts opened for at least 2 years and in perfect standing. They also don't like a lot of inquiries.

That makes sense...I have three that have been opened that long, but at the time I applied, they weren't. I had a lot of inquiries. The decline reasons were something like "excessive inquiries" and "length of credit history to short". Thanks!

I don't know if I'm ever going to hit the 700 range :::sigh::: Thanks, Sam!
