    Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to mention I was approved for an auto loan (through a car dealer) for $27,000 on a 2002 jeep Grand Cherokee. They pulled my WORST report (Experian) very low 500's but I still got 12.95%.

The funny part is that I was also approved from ELOAN as well - and they would loan me me $30,200 for that car (same rate though)

I'm very happy - and I have all of you to thank for this.

    Dogman,

Yeah I am thrilled - they make these machines so nice now. Mine has most of the options including quadratrac slip sensitive 4 wheel drive with the V8. I already drove this thing up to the Santa Cruz hills here in california and it pulls strong and effortlessly without downshifting. BTW the color is dark grey metallic/grey interior.

Congratulations. Not to be nosy but what sorts of derogs are pulling your score down? I'm just curious because I'm at 553 and am in need of a car as well.

Sal Congrats, i still have not achieved any financing for the suburban. Scores are EQ 488, EX 606 and TU 564, no auto loan ever.

    All reports have many derogs

    Hey, kbanger -
Maybe you should consider a Jeep instead of a Suburban. I just got one with low scores at 3.9%, now another proud Jeep owner. It might just be a whole lot easier being begged to buy a Jeep, instead of you begging for the Chevy. Besides, Jeeps ARE the best vechicles out there!

    IT'S A JEEP THING!

    Timmyq,

My derrogs stem mainly from nasty old school loans (some now in rehab - my experian actually dropped about 100 points AFTER I started rehab) but for some strange reason I have been aquiring credit reasonably well lately.

Kbanger - NEVER SAY NEVER. I think your scores are good enough to get an auto loan (with a few dollars down)
Let me let you in on a little secret (not really a secret anymore though) Try ELOAN - they pull EQUIFAX if you havent already.......BUT FIRST put all your negatives in dispute, wait a day then apply via ELOAN - I bet you get approved for the loan.

Any of you having trouble financing your car try Americredit - The dealer just got my rate lowerd to 11.43% by going through them.
