I went online to subscribe to the 30 day trial for Experian. I was asked a few questions to verify my identity. I never thought about it until last night. The questions? Which car did I own? The car that I owned (at the time) was purchased from a buy here pay here, not reported to any CRA, is broke down, with expired tags. How could equifax know what kind of car I had? Also, the spelling on my email, spells my name wrong. This incorrect spelling is on my experian credit report. Earthlink doesn't report my account to the CRA's. So how did Experian get this incorrect spelling? I've never mispelled my name like this before!! Are they digging into the BMV records now????????!!!!!!!!! Among other things? It is my understanding that the Social Security Administration and the BMV are joining forces so to speak. This is scary!
I believe they can access motor vehicle and insurance information and they can, in many cases, get your email and name from your browser.
