I have a question regarding disputing EX online. I decided to dispute 2 accts that were verified 8-2002. They let me dispute one account but the other dispute wouldn't go through stating it was "previously verified". So does this mean I will never be able to dispute it again?? Has anyone else encountered this problem? It doesn't make sense that it would allow one and not the other.
Christi- My feeling is they will onlt allow 2 disputes for each item. i have things that were disputed twice but the last time was almost a year ago and they STILL won't let me dispute it.
I have the same problem. My last 4 derogs always say that the account was already verified, blah, blah--I will do a paper dispute so that I have addt'l proof of their refusal to investigate. I think they have refused me 3 times since 12/01!! cariba
Worked on two accounts for me. One was CC, I disputed as not mine, then not late...both online. Wouldn't let me dispute again. I sent it by mail and included a bulleted list of why it wasn't mine, they reinvestigated. The other was a judgment. Dipsuted as not mine, couldn't dispute again. Mailed in a not mine claim and included more details as to why it wasn't mine (incorrect address, name, etc), they are reinvestigating now. The main thing is to make it sound like you are including new information, even if you aren't.
