TU took the late payments from one credit card and put it onto a perfectly fine account. On August 1st, citibank informed EQ, EXP, and TU that they should delete a specific account because it had erroneous information. EQ & EXP complied. I noticed that TU did not delete the account, so I sent them a dispute letter on September 14th about the erroneous account. TU then deleted the account, but put the bad account information on a perfectly credit line. I just called TU to have it fixed & they have indicated that they are unable to change it without a full blown investigation again. I even called at 8:30am right when they opened up, and could not talk to a manager about it. (they were busy with other customers). What recousre do I have ? I can start another investigation, but this is obviously TU's fault. Not to mention that they are costing me money becuase i have to stay home to address this problem, because their hours of operation are from 8:30 to 4:30...
Have Citi (was it?) fax you a letter stating that they instructed the CRA's to dispute and then turn around and fax it to TU. L
