Hi guys, Just to let everyone know, today I was contacted by GMAC's attorney who wanted to settle this matter out of court. This was the attorney who last week requested a continuance for next Friday the 18th. We hammered out an agreement for them to pay court costs and to update the tradeline on all reports to PAID/NEVER LATE, thus removing any negative notation. Of course this will be spelled out in writing which they will have to sign and agree to. I wasn't really after the money on this case I just wanted it to be changed or deleted in the first place. After about 6 months of letters and CRA disputes it looks like it is finally settled! Why couldn't they just agree to this to begin with?? I wanted to thank everyone for their input on this case.
