Got my e-mail alert saying that my statement was ready yesterday, logged-in, opening page says credit limit $3250 balance $607.90. I thought I was crazy, I only have a $500 limit with a $200 balance. I got home and got a letter from Cap One saying that my credit limit was raised to $3250. Not bad, just got the card in July (Jumped off the wagon, I wanted a new card for my vacation) and bam a $2750 credit raise.

The bad news.. this was the card I used in Mexico and sure enough I have $307.90 worth of unauthorized charges. Some software company in WA and an internet bill paying site.

Wow !!!! That is a huge credit line increase from Capital One. The biggest increase I have gotten from Capital One is $1000 from Mr. Miller.

I am so jealous. Do you have the Platinum card? I got mine in July as well. I had to ask Mr. Cooke to get an increase from $325 to $825.

Sorry I couldn't reply before now.. here's the skinny:

Got one of those you are pre-approved for a Platinum Card at www.getmycard.com. I thought I would be declined, I have a 4 1/2 year old paid charge off with Cap One but they were offering 0% on purchases till Feb 03 and APR of "up to" 14.99% after. I applied and was approved but didn't find out what the limit was till I received the card. I pick the pretty Sun and Moon design.

I thought I'd wait the 6 months and ask for an increase via PFB. I used it quite a bit so I could show a high limit on the reports so far it they show a high limit of $407. I paid the balance every month, which was kinda dumb concerning I have 0% till Feb so I stopped doing that.

But, my happiness was short lived when I saw the $307.90 worth of unauthorized charges, my hubby's card numbers were scanned also but they used his card right away. These charges came on 10/3 and 10/7 a full month from us coming back home.

Yes, we had fun in Cancun, my first time there; second for my hubby. It does make up for our missed honeymoon (we left for our honeymoon on 9/11) but we did get to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary dancing under the Mexico moon. We came home and one week later I found out that we are expecting our first child in May.
