I am shopping for a fixed rate card with over 10k limits. My scores are ranging from 720 to 780 anyone know of good deals? I have checked bankrate.com and my local paper and the best I have found is Pulask Bank they max out at 10k though. Let me know if you have a good card or know of a good card. Thanks!
From memory, this is what I know of: Wells Fargo Bank - up to $25k Bank of America - up to $50k American Express (various) - up to $100k Discover card - up to $50k Citibank - definitely over $10k, but unaware of highest range. Basically, you want a very PRIME card. I've heard good things about American Express raising limits if pre-approved for a certain limit. Most other cards you'd have to keep them open for about 6 months minimum before requesting a line increase. Any others out there?
Juniper bank gives high limits on their cards,if you are making better then 50K then you shouldn't have any trouble on getting any high limit credit cards. The only thing that can stop a person on getting any card with a high limit is if their credit history dosn't show that a person has managed big debt of anykind from the past, and lack of revolving credit tradelines.Discover is really good about giving high credit lines only if you do a BT.Discover usually approves a lower limit card but after you call them to activate the card, and do a BT they will double your credit line automacticully if not more. Also no black marks of anykind should be on a persons credit report is a must in order to get the best prime cards out there with high credit limits, and low interest rates for carrying a balance.I hope this may be of help too you.
Generation's Bank gives high CL if you can verify your income. I have heard that Yahoo gives out high initial CL's. Charlie
Thank you for your responses. I have checked my scores and equifax is showing 705 actually, no lates on any accounts, credit history going for 6 years and a salary over 70K. I am looking for the lowest fixed rate card with over 10K. I will look into the suggestions above. Any other suggestions is welcome. Thanks
My parents just recieved a Midwest Express MasterCard from Juniper Bank. Although it has a $69 annual fee and not the best APR in the world, the flight comps are very nice (especially if you already fly ME anyway). They recieved an initial CL of $12,500 - no raises yet but they've only had the card 2 weeks now(hehe).
