    My FICO=574.
I have about four derogs, but no credit card.

Can someone please recommend a card that I can qualify for that will help boost my score? Are the cards on this site easy to qualify for?

    Thanks!

I started with a Cap 1 secured card....They report to my CRA and have helped up my score alot. I also just got approved for a Visa Gold. But I've had the secured for about 8 months. Good Luck to you!

I would recommend Capital 1. Stay aware from any Providian card or Premier card. Household cards seem to be good as well, but usually take at least a 640 to obtain. Cap1 is probably your best bet.

Also, see which report is your best score and then visit http://millcbs.com and check what credit cards in your area use your best report.

    Thanks for your response.

Any sort of Capital One card? Platinum?

Again, sorry for the silly question. Just that I've only had an AMX corporate card and have not applied for a card since I was in high school.

    Thanks,

i have a providian visa, it was my first. then they gave me platinum. then i got a cap1 platinum. I have been happy so far with all of them.

Providian has been good to me so far, but others have some complaints. The cap1 card has intro of 0% then goes to 14.99%.

I applied for the Centennial MasterCard that is touted on this site.

If I don't get that I'll try a secured card. Really, I don't even care or need to have one other than to establish some good credit.

    Thanks!

Check that: I applied for the PREMIER Bank MASTERCARD (so many damn cards out there).
