Got this from Equifax this morning:

"...Your current Equifax Credit Watch subscription will expire soon. To thank you for your business, we would like to offer you 15% off the current retail price
    of $69.95. That's just $59.45 - or $4.95 a month - for this valuable service.
For your convenience, we will automatically renew your annual subscription
unless you decide otherwise. Thank you again for your business..."

is it $59 for the new 4 reports per year that they are allowing?? Hardly seems worth it, unless you really want to see your score every time.

That's right, just 4 times a year. Here's their "fantastic offer":

"In addition to daily credit-file monitoring with your annual Equifax Credit Watch subscription, you will receive:

** Access to Score Power(R) four times a year - the only consumer online service delivering your Equifax Credit Report(TM) and FICO(R) credit score.

Research indicates your credit score does not have significant changes as often as one might think. As a result, we are offering four Score Power reports with your subscription. So you can check your score on a quarterly basis or have the flexibility to check it four times on your own schedule."

I got the email offer yesterday. I sent them notice just now that I will not be renewing. I will just purchase my report and score when I need it and use Privista for my regular monitoring.

What they are offering is no deal, IMO - at $12.95 ea it's cheaper to get my report and score separately. They have a rather inflated opinion of what they are offering <chuckle>.

They have never once sent me a "creditwatch" notice - even when I had new accounts open, so I don't trust that function.

Traveler's offers ID theft insurance, and I trust the red umbrella wayyyyy more than Equifax.

When you log into creditwatch, they take you to the renwal page when it's time to renew. It appears they are not doing an automatic renewal, because they wanted me to enter my CC info for the renewal.

I'm confused....are they allowing you to pull a report everyday but only a score 4 times a year? If so, then it seems like an OK idea (not great just ok). Are they still offering the buy3 get 1 free score power deal for like $38??

I cancelled CE because their score is bogus. I pull my report (without score) once every other month, I can do the same with EQU if they want to play el-cheapo.

ROFL!!! Who are these guys? When are they gonna wake up and smell reality? My score has fluctuated between 620 and 704 in the last 45 days!!! First going up, then down, then back up.

If they can't explain how FICO works, how can they make a statement like that???

WHEN CW EXPIRES...I will go back to the 4 for the price of 3 and get a NEW ONE every-other-month...(on the 3rd-6th of the month).

4 TOTAL REPORTS AND SCORES FOR THE YEAR IS A JOKE!!!

Even at the DISCOUNTED price of $59.45!!!
