Need a good settlement letter for Equifax to delete accounts and/or inq. Could you post/point me to one you used in your cases as a example?
    thanking you in advance.

edit>> that's supposed to be Doc, not Dod.

I didn't offer a settlement...I filed and waited for them to come to me. He who blinks first loses :)

how long did they wait before responding? How much were you suing for?

Well, in one case I sued for close to 40K. Their answer was due the next day and they asked for an extension so we could discuss things. I agreed and then they waited almost the entire extended thirty days before we got down to business...lol.

Odds are their attys will want drafting rights on a settlement. I think Christine on Bayhouse posted her 5 page or so settlement with some Cra...

wait for them to draft... my one issue is the nondisclosure... I don't sign those.

A "NON-DISCLOSURE" has to be 2-SIDED...if you can't say what you got...NEITHER CAN THEY!!! And they can NEVER respond to any CRA or any other CREDIT CARD COMPANY or LOAN COMPANY...THEY CAN'T CONFIRM OR DENY THAT THEY EVER HAVE DONE BUSINESS WITH YOU!!!

Marie, have you ever settled with a CRA without a confidentiality clause? Everything I have heard and in my experience, if you will not agree to a confidentiality clause, that is a deal breaker and they will go to court. Never heard of them settling without one so I am curious...

I settled last fall with Credit Data Southwest and no confidentialty clause. They are the Experian affiliate here.
