What CC's, with decent limits ($5,000+) are exclusively SCORE DRIVEN?

I'm not sure Butch, but, most CC'S seem to really be tightening their belts when it comes to CL'S.

I'm not sure BUT, I got a circuit city visa (fnanb) a few weeks ago. The limit was only $3500 though. They pulled Equifax and my score was 670. I applied at the store (N.C.) and I had 1 old (5 yrs.) negative, a repo with a balance due.

    Thanx Candi,

I think this is probably difficult question to answer as we don't really know what kind of internal scrutiny our app. goes through.

I guess another way to ask might be, which CC's have we applied for where an instant approval/denial was forthcoming.

That might be an indication of a score driven CC decision.

I'm seeking help to apply online with about 6-8 cards and acquire $50,000 - $75,000 CL all in one day.

Score wise (high 700's) I can do it but I have very few TL's as I've not used credit in the past.

    OM did something similar.

    Thanx,

    :)

    Butch-
I'd say try Atlantic Coast Federal, they give instant online approval .
They check Equifax - their max cl is 15K - which I got a few months ago - my Eq score at the time I think was 749.

fnanb has instant 30 second decision on their website. So it might be score driven.

Butch, try B of A. I was approved instantly, but my husband had to wait a few days. I had a higher score than him, but his CR was better (but with fewer tradelines). Sounds like that might work for you. The limits were rather high for us compared to other cards.

Try Chase and Amex. Both instant approvals, $5 and $6,000 CL's.

    Hey Butch,

I was approved instantly for AMEX Cash Rebate with $10.000 credit line. Good luck to you.

I got an instant approval with Bank of America about three weeks ago, score was about 735, got an initial 11,000 CL and go to rate of 8.74% fixed after the intro offers etc.

Thanx for the info. gang, keep it comin. :)

I plan to apply, in masse, in about a week or 2.

I'll take a day and just get it done.

BTW - I read somewhere (on CN), where time of day (like after 7:00 pm) and the day of the week might also be a factor in getting favorable decisions. ANy thoughts?

    ???

Also, Sam (where-ever he is) did something similar to what I'm attempting.

    Here's the thread:

He said: "So basically i got $5000,$5500,$6600,$18,200 in credit cards today. I seriously fell off the wagon."

I got instant approval for a GM card with 6k limit. I had a 750 EQ score with one old derog in dispute. Hope this helps.

B of A seems much more generous with limits, in my experience.

    Butch,

One other thing to consider would be the MBNA Gold Loan. I applied for $3000 and was approved back in June with scores in the 665-674 range. This account is treated like a revolving line of credit, so it is basically just like a credit card. It also affects your scores like a credit card.

Only drawback would be that the interest is higher than a lot of the premium credit card offers out there right now.

Yahoo gives a high CL. Generations is good for the CC mix for hiding balances. Citi Plat Select is another that gives high CL's. Charlie

Sorry Butch, Generations is not score driven. I think that Quicken gives high CL's and is score driven. Citi gave a friend of mine 20k with a 803. Good luck! Charlie
