i work in Chicago, Illinois but have no idea bout the ca you are talking about... why don't you post details on the situation and get some direct advice?
Basically, it is for two medical collections. They threatened to take me to court so instead, I went to the hospital and begged and pleaded with them to let me pay there... I actually did go to court and showed them my receipts for payment so that was that. But, getting the 2 derogs off my report has been like pulling teeth. I have disputed in every way I can think of and every time they verify. I even called them and tried to sweet talk them. They basically told me to shove it... Any ideas?
The collection agency is reporting the debt how? paid unpaid/ca what I would say to prepare to send ca an ITS... they don't have the debt, you did not pay them and they have no right to report debt..... did you send ca a validation letter? did they respond
Hi Uniondiva, Thanks for your help with this... It is reported as two accounts (one for the clinic and one for the hospital). Combined the accounts added up to $614. It is reported as a paid collection, $0 balance. Since I didn't pay them can they still report it as theirs? I'm not so sure about that... the hospital never reported it at all. I tried the regular dispute and it was verified. I tried my own method of kissing up (it's worked before, I thought "why not try?") and I sent a very basic letter to them asking for validation. They never responded, I assume because it's been paid so what do they need to bother with me for? However, they were so rude when I talked with them it seems like it's their mission to keep this on my reports... What's your advice?
