    Hey Trout,

My understanding is DO NOT put your S.S. # on your letter. I have been told all you need to put is your name and that is from a court ruling. I am actively looking for that information now and I will post it when I find it.

    My .02 cents.

Is this going to a CRA? I would include your SS# - f you want them to investigate. :) They may decide not to investigate at all because they can't identify you.

NOOOOO! Don't include your SS#!!! Just reference the account number shown on her report.

Yes, I believe, CRRR works on PO boxes.

I just wrote a company on my experian report that did not have the full account # listed. I checked every experian report I have gotten in the past 2 years and every single account listed for this CA is 1..... so I wrote them a validation letter, listing the account # 1...... and original creditors name. I got a letter in the mail today saying that they couldn't find any information with my name or current address and that I had to dispute through experian(I have been doing this for 2 years already and it is always verified) again and they will figure it out. I am going to just send this letter to experian with how can you verify this account when they obviously cannot with the information I gave them. It is a 55 dollar collection to an insurance company I never had(Citizen's ins I believe)
Will this work? I hope to get rid of this collection asap.

I had a dispute with Gulfstates credit for an account that wasn't mine. Because I didn't have the account number I called Equifax. I explained the situation and they gave me the full account number and the address of Gulfstates.

I hope that makes sense and applies to your problem.
