I have about 6 letters for each credit bureau. Can I put all 6 in one envelope and mail 3 CCCR letters or should I be sending 18 seperate CCCR letters? (18 X 4.50 = $81.00 !) Can that be right?

Why do you have six letters for each CRA? Are you only disputing one item per letter? It would be best for you to dispute about 4 per letter bringing you down to at least 2 letters per CRA. This way it's much cheaper. Also, if you are addressing different disputes in different letters it would make sense to mail them seperately to increase the likelyhood of two different people working simultaneously on your investigation.

There are a couple of collection agencies with multiple account numbers. I address the multiple accounts with one CA in 1 letter.

So you are saying I should address multiple agencies with multiple accounts with 1 letter?

Here is an example of what I have done:

    Letters to Eq:

    Letter #1
    ABC Finance Co
    Acct # XXX

    Letter #2
    XYZ Credit Card Co
    Acct # XXX

    Letter #3
    Bonehead Collections
    Acct #XXX

    Letter #4
    Ihateu Collections
    Acct #AAA
    Acct# BBB
    Acct #CCC

    Letter #5
    Messmeup Collections
    Acct # XXX

    Letter #6
    Creditbusters Collections
    Acct # XXX

How should I change my letters to get optimum effect?

Not an expert, but what Robin is saying is send no more than 4 per letter, you have six. So, either send 3 per letter or 4 and 2, whichever you choose. You don't have to send 1 per letter. It's to expensive, but it is your choice. Although with TU, some have stated that a second dispute letter will add 15 days to your wait.
