LOL, isn't that hysterical? Sent nutcase letter out last week via FAX. Received letter today saying that they had notified the credit bureaus that the account had been paid in full in 3/01 (a mere 12 months after it had been paid in full) and now, as a courtesy to me, they would notify the bureaus to delete the account altogether. What a bunch of nice guys, huh? heehehehehehehehehe, i just love this stuff
Keep an eye out for it to reappear under one of their various names, waalien. They are famous for deleting under one name and then reinserting under another name. Fortunately it doesn't usually take more than another round of disputes or faxing them the udf to get the final deletion...but just be prepared. You might want to get OSI to send you a copy of the UDF for your records, just so you can fax it to the CRA's if necessary. L

the fax I used was: 206-315-1350 The address I had was: OSI Collection Services Inc. 12201 Tukwila International Blvd Suite 100 Tukwila, WA 98168-5121 that address is also on the correspondence I got from them. it's also the one on my EX report, you should check yours to see if it's the same office, apparently they have more than one? the phone number for the "Compliance Manager" who sent me the letter: Drew Smith, 206-315-1699. I think I got the fax number from their website, IIRC. HTH

Yup, I was hoping against all hope that I would be the lucky one that it didn't reappear on. I think I'm gonna just go for the jugular on this one. My initial communication with them will be a $5K lawsuit against them for putting it on my report without giving me the 30 days notice required by California law. So now I just need to wait out the 30 days from yesterday and have them served.

They're easy though, you'll get your deletion. Deletion is too good for them, they buy BK debt, beyond SOL debt, all the good stuff!
