Just *skimmed* over your info. First thing, have you disputed any of these tradelines yet? I'd start there, try to "cut-off all the low hanging fruit".

I have, yes. Ijust went thru and disputed a few more. Looking for good sugesstions on the ASSET ACCEPTANCE , along with any other help. disputing online, now, this round... seems like it could work. A few of those are court/fines/fees. anyone have exp with a CA and FINES?

yes, just dispute with cra's first and see what happens. please read the first three posts and the fcra and fdcpa to assist you in your repair!

suggestions, diva? I have read, I dont know where to start. big one? or the little ones? what is listed here, is 4 pages LESS than my first report.

I would start with the OSI tradeline. Based on personal experience and the experience of others on this board...they cannot validate. They don't tend to respond to validation requests, but after sending one or two, you can call their compliance department (i.e. legal) and often times get it taken off with a letter of apology for your incovenience.

Don't despair. In October of last year, my TU was 495 with twelve derogs. Today it ranges between 635 (due to high balances and TU and Citi not reporting limits) and 672 with no derogs. Just takes patience and persistence.

    Good luck!

okay, I am reading the FAQ. Send them a direct dispute letter, or the CRA? the CRA verified it already!

Use the debt validation letter, and send it directly too OSI?

Your CR looks like mine did 2 months ago.
I disputed everything as not mine back in Oct only with EQ, got 8 deletions. It only looks impossible
but you would be surprised at the effectiveness of the not mine strategy.Chod is on now, go for it. Attack

Tomorrow, I send it of, starting with the OSI, and one of the oldest. even tho the have been verified, by the CRA, right?

    Yes plysaker,

Verification by the CRA only means someone called up and said YO Plysaker says this isn't his and someone on the other end said, yeah it is.

Actually, I'd dispute first and send validation letters to the remaining CA's and verification letters to the remaining OC's. Then figure a plan for each of the remaining tradelines depending on what's left.

That said, as an ode to dearest swaying, flicking and humming humblemarc, you have to also spend some time reading the first three threads that are pinned to the top of the messages.

Here's a link explaining validation specifically:

    http://www.creditinfocenter.com/rebuild/debt_validation.shtml

You've got to figure what each tradeline's statute of limitations are. If you are still within the SOL for enforcement, that may be something you want to consider -- be careful of those if you're concerned about additional judgments.

WhyChat's site lists the SOL's, there's a link in the pinned FAQ.

Go to lawdog.com and look up the specifics for your state. Some state's go a lot further than the FCRA and FDCPA -- both required reading!

Gosh, that will get you started ;-)

The best for an overall overview, and I got this site from here a year or so ago, I think from Marie (another thank you to her) is this one, besides the information here of course:

    http://mixsix.com/credit/

It seems overwhelming at first but you'll get there. My TU score was almost exactly 100 points lower than yours when I started, BELIEVE IT, I'd never seen one before, thought it was top-secret stuff with no recourse :)

And please, if you post again saying please people tell me what to do, never believe what you read here or anywhere else, use the information as a starting point and see that it is verified.

A sure way to get a response here is to give bad advice, however given the friction that comes with responding to bad advice anymore a lot of wise c-netters haven't been responding. There's no shortcut to the homework but you'll come to enjoy the process, I promise.
