Just kidding. I dont know what to do now. I think this place has helped me do all that I wanted to. I cleaned up some stuff and now I'm just waiting to close on my house. Thank you guys.
Like all good students, you must now become the teacher. you must impart your knowledge to those who follow in your footsteps[flashback to grasshopper walking across the rice paper w/o tearing it] But first you must brand our monastery's insignia on your forearms[ picking up scalding hot cauldron using your forearms. the letters FICO are branded on your left forearm, the letters PRIME are branded on your right forearm] you are now an initiate.
heehee, it's from the debut "Kung fu" t.v. show. Not many people remember it. I have them all on tape. . . the show teaches great lessons about humility and compassion.
then no doubt you remember when he grabbed the pebble from Master Po's (?) hand. That is actually how it was determined that he was now ready. Fung Ku Master fla-tan
That's exactly right. he couldn't do it at first, but after all of his training, he was quicker than his master/teacher. Was master po, the blind one or the other one? gosh, i need to watch that tape again! The cauldrons actually were part of the initiation ceremony. Gosh, that was a great show. the newer ones stunk.
hiiiiiiiiiiiiiii YA! wowOwowwwwwww, I just chopped through my stack of CR's and c-net inspired correspondence! ;-) Sassy
LOLOL Sassy, i bet you gave a great ki-ap(the yell you give in order to focus you concentration and ch'i). But as Master Po would say, "Why would you attack a piece of paper, was it attacking you?" or maybe it was mr. miyagi from karate kid. . . .
It was the blind one and that was Master Po if I remember right. The cauldren was for searing the twin marks of the Shaolin Monastary on the forearms as that is how it was lifted out of the way. The redhot cauldren was blocking the exit from the monastary. I too enjoyed the scenes where Master Po or the other old master would explain the solution to Caine's problem through allegory (?). fla-tan.........I am the Fung Ku Master...LOL
That was a great show. I had a friend that was getting calls from a CA and all the people had names like Dirty Harry, Kojak, etc. Charlie
I have called CREDIT CARD COMPANIES and got a person with either my WIFE'S FIRST NAME or the same LAST NAME as mine... KINDA' FUNNY...or is it ON PURPOSE???
ummm, it was defensive, Marc!!!!!!!! Those papers were all plotting and conspiring, AND, they won't stay in the filing cabinet where they belong! Besides, I did it with LOVE! Sassy
Trout Tell him you are a professional sharpshooter and not to forget his bullet proof vest when he comes by. L O L
twin marks? no, i just watched it. It was a tiger and dragon, the symbols of the Shaolin monastery. Interesting fact, Bruce Lee co-wrote the original idea and pilot series, but they cast David Carridine as Caine because Bruce Lee looked TOO Chinese! Wow, i guess american audiences weren't ready for a chinese actor playing a chinese character. WTF!
...also notice that on the show bruce lee starred on, the green hornet, he wore a mask cuz it was mandory in case they saw his 'slanted eyes'. Even today, you never see asian males casted in the 'cool' roles.. they are either the nerds or kung fu fighters. However, the 'exotic asian females' are being cast quite frequently now.. aka lucy liu.
