Citibank Platinum Select...only got a $1000 CL (actually $1100 since I used a BT), but at least no more Cap1 15.9% land! Have to sock drawer this one until I get the BT paid off as I can't afford to drop the Cap1 card (close to 8 years on it...can't drop it), but at least I know my 700+ scores were good for something...LOL

A couple of months ago 700 would get a lot bigger CL. 1k just doesn't seem fair. Congrats on the card. Charlie

Pay early, make large payments, once your balance is paid off, use the card on a regular basis, and you will get increases. I started out with a $4,000 limit this time last year, now at $11,600.

They are great about increases, but they want you to use the card.

A 700+ *can* get high credit lines. These days however, they look at your existing revolving credit. They won't give you a high CL unless you have other credit cards with similarly high limits.

And of course, being as Cap1 reports the CL as ZERO, I'm sure that was a BIG help in Citi's decision (sarcasm).
