Reposession 2 years ago still open?

I had a vehicle reposessed two years ago, however my most recent credit reports show the vehicle still owed on and behind on payments, dated up until reposession. Is this right? I have paid all debt in regards to what I owed? Why does it still show open nearly 2 years later?

if you have paid it, it can show the late payments (with dates)but should show a zero balance. however, that will not help your score. you need to get this account deleted from your credit report! this listing seems to be inaccurate. I would dispute it with the cra's.

How would I go about disputing this? I agree it no longer is correct!

read the first three threads listed, that explain the basics of cra disputes. You should also read the fcra and the fdcpa. this will help you!

    DISPUTE DIRECTLY WITH THE CRA'S!
I would disputed via mail(send crrr) that the account is reporting incorrectly and asking the cra's to please correct the listing.

I would do mail rather than online, because you want to take every advantage for a deletion of such a major negative factor!
