ok now im pissed off... i disputed my last late pay from fleet bank during chod.. it came back verified so fleet sent me a letter showing i was never late i faxed it to them... i called this morning eq: "letter does not show it is from fleet" me: "it has HUGE fleet logo in the top left AND the woman's number to call if you have any questions" eq: we did standard investigation via computer me: if you had questions, why didnt you call the womans number on there eq: we do not call to verify, we use our systems to verify me: now i have to get another letter eq: yes oh great.. this will never end will it
EQ told me flat out that they do not look at evidence submitted by consumer, even if it is directly from the creditor posting the TL. So what's the point of even sending them anything? Beats me.
I agree with humblemarc. I have faxed them letters from the OC's and CA's and they have removed within five days more or less. You can try faxing it to them and saying per the attached letter, please delete. Like I said...its worked for me. L
THey did this to me..I called Andrew who is a supervisor. he pulled the letter, called the CA and the account was removed!
Fax it again and put in there SECOND REQUEST Attached please find a copy of a letter from OC, pursuant to which I am demanding the deletion of the account being reported by said OC. Maybe you will get a different rep. L
lori, do you have a direct # to andrew? whyspers.. do i fax the original letter to them again? do i use the new dispute# they gave me today or the one from the other day? god this is pissing me off... and now i found out my gmat scores arent good enough, i have to take the test for the 4th time
Can you share with me EQ's fax number? I can't get one out of their reps- they claim all disputes must be done either through phone, online, or snail mail.
sometimes i think eq is a fly by night organization they have so many fax #'s - i wonder if they all go to another rep or something - im sure there is some difference
UPDATE: i called back - woman said she couldnt do anything - i got a supervisor... i started crying, explaining that now since im going for a mortgage i need it off she is going to look for the fax - i should call back this afternoon to find out if she can help
You didn't REALLY start crying did you??? I have never tried that approach. I usually cuss em' out and threaten to own them and fire them before I am done.
That's SOP, lately, isn't it? Eq is ignoring a letter from one of my old CA's and 2- UDF copies. Sheesh. you'd think that those derogs mean MONEY to them. Oh, wait...they do. Eq has become SO difficult to work with. They need a couple of good lawsuits. Big ones. Radi8
