It is finally just about here. I close on my house in 1 week, Jan 9th and move in on the 10th. I've already bought a new living room set, bedroom furniture and am getting set to buy stuff for another bedroom. It's getting expensive!! lol

For anyone who cares, newbie wise, and even if you don't, I started out here in March of 2000. The only score I know from that time was my TU which was a whopping 475. All scores are in the 700's now. I started my cleanup in earnest in March of 2001 and was clean by the end of Dec. 2001. So, just wanted to tell those that may be discouraged, it can be done with a little perseverance and nastiness when necessary.

Does that mean you'll no longer be having lobsters at Caesars? I can already see the disappointment on Charday's pretty face.

Lk, I think that is wonderful, and the best part of it is that you have been kind enough to stick around and help others even though you're work is done. Thank you!!! Congrats!

Firstly, Congratulations on the house. Now let me ask you just one question, how did you pay for the furniture?? If you financed it, that could very well be a BIG NO-NO. If you paid cah, then super congrats. The reason is that usually just before closing then lender will pull credit again and if they see alot of new stuff and/or inquiries it makes them extremely nervous. I have seen lenders back out of loans because of it. I sincerely hope that dowsn't happen to you.

    Thanks everyone.

fla-tan, don't worry. Furniture was paid for in cash. I have had the itchy fingure to apply for something, but know better.

Saar, would I ever stop eating lobster at Caesars? Nooooo!

I don't know how many of you read my other threads, but TU is throwing a monkey wrench into this. Report has been clean. Yesterday they decided to reinsert a derog that had been removed in Feb 2002 at the ca request. I spoke to the ca yesterday and they did not request it be reported. They sent me a letter to that effect with a copy of yet another UDF to TU. I have called TU, told a supervisor had to handle this and call back. I call back. super not available. I left a rather not too nice message explaining the urgency of their correcting this. No return call. Sent D Richman an email. No response. Today I sent a basic fix it or else email to the person taking over for Richman. No response yet.

If my lender pulls my reports again before closing, and this causes any problems whatsoever, they will see me in court.

This is the type of post I like to print out and show to my hubby. He still doesn't think all the hours I spend researching, drafting letters, asking questions, on the phone, etc will amount to much. I hope to be in your situation by Spring of next year.

LKH, a big congrats on your purchase AND most importantly, the results of all your hardwork to repair your credit.

Not applying for ANY credit while in the mortgage process is something that I have to constantly impress upon clients. I am glad that you were aware that doing so was a MAJOR no-no. Again, congrats on becoming a homeowner.

Congrats!! It's stories like yours that helped me continue on. I still have one derog but most creditors don't seem to care. Other than a house I've got all the credit I can handle...errrr....ahhh deserve :)

Congrats on the new home. I am glad to see someone has made it. It makes me feel a lot more comfy with the whole situation. What CRA did you have the most problems with and what were you able to get removed?

    Truth, reality

    Do you owe it?

Does your credit file reflect your true credit history?

Greg, take your truth, reality and stick it. I shouldn't answer any of your damn obnoxious quetions, but because I am completely in the right, I will.

No, it was an acct belonging to someone other than me with the same name in the same city. How do like that Greg? Too bad huh, not what you were hoping for?
Do me one favor. Unless I ask for your opinions, please don't respond to me.
