    hello there people!

it sure is nice to know that the regulars that i saw on this board during the summer of last year are still around!!!

a brief history. last april (2002) my husband and i started the road to clean up our credit history. using this board we got pretty far. we ran into a stump tho, and then with an unexpected move and a pretty much hellacious year, credit cleaning got put on hold.

well, we want to get started again.

here comes the stump, and to refresh your memory - we came to understand last year that my husband had been listed on an account as "deceased" - see pic of credit report here (equifax)

    http://www.solosounds.com/jimrie/credit/deceased.jpg

we posted something about it on this board, and here are the two posts

just wondering from the experts here, where do you believe we should begin again? the last reports we got from the big three were back in june of last year, so i am sure the first place would be to get our reports again.

without out right paying for the reports, can you help me think of something that will enable me to acquire my reports using a loophole. i have confirmation numbers for all three big cra's, just wondering if i have let too much time pass.

    any advice would be helpful

this time i am in it for the long haul

Have you tried signing up for the free 30 day trials?

And is your husband still NOT dead? Somebody else just recently was having the same problem. I'll look for the thread.

No real solution in the thread. Somebody did mention harp music and echo chambers though LOL.

that is what started this whole thing last summer, signing up for the free trials. they cannot release my husbands score based on the fact that he is listed as deceased...

    thanks for the suggestion

    harps eh? i don't think so! ;-)

any other help will be appreciated

So, you have to resurrect him right? Have you tried talking directly to the OC's that eliminated him?

    talking to cross country?

hmmm, we were in the midst of sending validation letters when they reported him dead.

don't want to talk to anyone, would like to handle everything by usps

Well, talking is ambiguous, writing is probably the best. How do you prove a negative? LOL. Maybe a letter from his Human Resources Department?

DH is quite difficult for a dead guy! Cross Country - is that a negative tradeline you are trying to get deleted?

If it isn't, maybe your 1040's with all the financial information blacked out?

yes jlynn, it started out as a negative tradeline i was trying to get validated

    options?

in looking over our records, we sent a validation letter to nco financial systems (ca) which was handling the cross country account, but was not listed on our credit report, cc was.

we sent that validation letter, nothing was recieved except our green card back, and then the next thing we know he is listed as deceased on that account

    huh?

Wonder how the CRA would react to being sued by a dead person?

I would mail CCB bank a letter right away- Here is a person to maike it in attention to:

    Aimee Sligar
    Executive Relations Manager
    800 Delaware Ave
    Wilmington, DE 19801

By reporting your DH dead- they are in violation of FCRA-
Ask them to delete the TL because of the damage it has caused your credit, If they dont remove TL you will file suit against them for the damages.

I like sending the letter to CCB attn (above). Maybe after you get it straightened out with CCB you can monitor.

Somebody mentioned on the other board that Privacyguard.com has a 3 month trial for $1 where you can pull a tri-merge unlimited. It's $89.95 annually. I just signed up and I like it. They give you a credit score from one of the bureaus (Experian through CE I had heard) but it didn't match my EQ score through CW or my EX score through CE. My score through PrivacyGuard more closely matched my TU FAKO????

Anyway, you might want to head over and check it out www.privacyguard.com.

Try calling Paul Mahoney. He's a paralegal at CCB. His number is 302-326-4200. If he asks where you got the number tell him you don't remember, but think it was some guy in Wisconsin that gave it to you...lmbo. (Not me...lol).
