with TU, two came back deleted and 1 (JcPenney's) came back and said new information provided below, well I looked and all the did was put a zero balance and put a note that sayspayment after chargeoff, but ca is still reporting balance. Can they do this it did not come back verified (I have never seen this before wondering if anyone else has had same experience?)Thanks!

Is it being reported by the oc and a collection agency? Is it paid.... I am not clear on the situation.... did you simply dispute it as "not mine" and when you say it was not verified... what do you mean... what exactly did TU say on the account and exactly how is it reporting.

Both show OC and CA, TU sent report back it said (like where it would say verified or deleted) New information below.
The only thing new I noticed was OC had put zero bal, and made a note on acct saying status as of 6/98: payment after charge off/collection. That's it I do not know what to make of it. Any suggestions?

That means the CRA verified the account information - and the OC changed what was being reported to reflect the new balance and status. It's to be interepreted the same as 'verified'.

When it says 'verified' that means that all of the information was correct and there were no changes made.

The thing is, is that we have not paid them anything, so where did they get the zero bal. can I get collection ag to remove, or no because it says paid after charge off/collection?

the zero balance is because the oc doesn't "hold" the account, it has been turned over to ca.

I would (since it is TU) do a procedure request. I would ask them how they verified all of the information clearly stating that you are not requesting a new investigation:

ask them how the account were verified.
