I have a Citi card, and just received a pre-approved offer from Citi.

Under The Terms & Conditions Of Offer it states...

The offer is only valid for new accounts.

Does anyone have experience with them sending a second card from Citi with a pre-approved offer.

The card I have is a Platinum Select Master Card.

The pre-approved is a Citi Dividend Platinum Select Master Card.

Looks like they are different cards, so what the heck, might as well try.

Those that got pre-approved AT&T offers.

I received a pre-approved AT&T offer today, but under the Terms and Conditions they state they can gather information from the CREDIT BUREAUS.

Has anyone had hard inq. from pre-approved offers?

How long did it take to process the application over the Internet. In the past when I got pre-approved offers the credit line was immediate with no hards.

Expect a hard. They want to know that you're credit is still OK as it was when they pre-screened you.

Yup. The pre-screening results from a soft pull that tells them that you're in the ballpark. When you take the bait and apply they pull the hard one to determine whether your seat is a box seat, in the nosebleed section, or...they could kick you out of the park entirely.
