    I'M 91 on Equifax!!!

    I'm only 25 years old!

The only thing is, I can't dispute it over +/- 7 years! I'm doomed to be born in 1914!

    Yeah:

WHY DOES THE CONSUMER HAVE TO PROVE EVERYTHING???

WHY CAN'T THE "BURDEN OF PROOF" BE ON THE CRA'S OR CREDIT CARD COMPANIES???

Good question! And in most of these cases, they had the correct information before. Why did they change it? They shouldn't change any of that kind of information without the consumer's acknowledgment. They have me living every place my ex-husband has lived since he moved out. And if I get them deleted, they just come back.

But I still get mail for him here (he moved out 12 years ago), so they obviously don't know where he lives, either, because most of it is CC offers.

    Well...

can you -7 your age, once per week, for a coupla months, until you are underage again??

then, you can be 16 years old, and get your negs removed because you were not of legal age when you signed the contract!

    am I onto something here????

Equifax did the exact same thing to me. They took my mothers birth month, my brothers day, and my dad's year and combined them to make my date of birth. Pretty cool huh?

Well, I sent them my DL and check stub three times. After the 3rd time, they sent me documentation stating that my date of birth was updated. 2 days later, it was back to the same old date of birth.

I sent them an intent to sue letter that they had more than sufficient opportunity to update it and they are now breaking the law because they are just flat out refusing to update it.

They then locked me out of my report for 30 days. After 30 days, they fixed it permanently and it has not been changed since. However, WARNING, I believe they had two seperate reports for me.

The reason I say that is because on my Privacy Guard report, they listed things that were mine but no where to be found on my personal report. I believe Privacy Guard was pulling both files at once whereas, through Equifax.com, I was only seeing one report.

Here is where the WARNING comes into play. When they merged my reports, correct positive listings got deleted. The reason was because some dumb creditor spelled my name wrong and therefore, they were listed on the incorrect report and did not merge on to the new report.

So, once they do get it all fixed, be ready to try to get good things put back on (if you are experiencing the same situation as me).

I dont think it's a split file no trade lines have changed and the incoorect dob dates mean nothing to me.
Cant imagine where it came from but have been eyeing a new CC and not sure if this would throw up a flag when I apply.
I hope they get this fixed sent them a letter 10 daya ago

As of this morning, I've got you all beat. Equifax is showing my birth year as 0000. I plan on basing my dispute on the fact that this year technically never existed, at least under the Gregorian calendar.

I hope I'm not being too frivolous.
