I just checked my Experian report and Kohl's is now reporting.
FINALLY, they are reporting to the big THREE and not just to Trans Union and Equifax.

This is great as I've had my account since 1993.

Those with Kohl's accounts, keep an eye out!

I just noticed a new Kohl's in Tucson. I thought they'd never get here.

I'm guessing they're similar to Mervyn's. Being sick and tired of Retailers National Bank, I may choose Kohl's as an alternative.

Miles--Happy to hear they've redecorated your Experian report. :):):)

    Thanks, RichGuy.

BTW, I really think you will like Kohl's. They have great products and really good sales.
If you have their credit card, you get to take advantage of many extra discounts not offered to other customers.
Their customer service is really good. Note though, if you ask for a credit limit increase and you don't want a hard inquiry, let them know. They will base the increase on their internal records. Otherwise, they will pull a hard.

I'm glad you have a Kohl's near you. Unfortunately, I don't have one near me at this time because I moved several years ago for my job. Right now I make my purchases online. However, I am now moving back to Chicagoland where their are Kohl's aplenty. LOL

Good luck if you decide to apply!!

    Hey, George.
Remember, I received my card in 1993. I received a credit limit of I think $400. I was pretty young. It is now I think $1,200. I have never received an automatic increase, but I don't use the card a lot either. I have only requested 2 increases without a hard inquiry. They probably give more if you use the card a lot or allow them to pull your reports.
I think a couple people on this board have received larger initial limits upwards of $2,000 or more if I remember correctly.

Where in Tucson do you live? I'm in the Northwest. Went to Kohl's today. It's sorta halfway between Target and Sears with their selection of merchandise. They didn't ask me if Iwanted a credit card and I didn't volunteer, so I guess they will just have to take my cash.

It's solely based on FICO score. I have a family income in 6 figures two years past a CH13 discharge and can't get anything except a Cap1 Card.

But then again, with a 6 figure income, who needs 'em.

Kohl's also started reporting my account to Experian also. It was an account I opened also in 1993. Unfortunately I went bad on it a few years ago and did a BK on it. But they finally reported it!

Well... It's about time Kohl's LOL
