I am dispuiting a item with TU, to my surprise they update the item and under remarks they mention chapter 13 WTF ? I have never filed chapter 13, I sent a letter to the original Creditor and they sent me a half ass validation but the items did not match the ones reported that is why i disputed with the CRA to see if they would mess things up and they did royally as they are way off base from the actual account. What is the sugfgested course of action at this point? Open account Acct Status: Closed Monthly Payment: $0 Date Open: Jun, 1997 Balance: $0 Terms: N/A High Balance: $0 Limit: N/A Past Due: $0 Remarks: Chap. 13 wage earner plan account Payment Status: Payment after charge off / collection
Can you give us a little more information on what the account should read? If you never filed Chap 13 BK, then dispute that again with TU.
I never filed bankrupcy, the account is not even supposed to exist. Long story short this is a listing from domestics from some alleged support, however I have been with ,my wife since 97 so who in the heck filed for support lol I sent a request for validation to domestics and they send me a paper where they said I owed money at one point in time and it was repaid. I never owed them money nor did I ever repaid them. The only thing I can come up with is that at one point in time my wife had public assistance "medical" and somehow they where charging me for it? At any rate I never paid anything and definetelly never filed chapter 13.
If during a seperation your wife allege that you were absent from the home and not providing support - and the State provided medical, food stamps or any other public assistance - they hit you - the father - with the bill. They provided benefits to her - they later collect from you for the reimbursement of those benefits, and sometimes with added interest.
