HELLO EVERYONE!!! Took a loooooooooooong break and hadn't even looked at my reports in over a year, to my detrament, I am madder than hell right now, I just pulled all 3 reports and saw 2 listing in the "public" information section of my reports from discover and new century financial....together judgements entered for about 16k.........THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY IN NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM MINE!!! I admit, I have had "things" minute really removed that should have run there course but these are BIG TIME errors, the reason I looked up my score was I was trying to take a loan out to do some work on my house and got offered an interest rate of well over 11%!!! I couldn't believe it!!! Know I know why....anyway, I've already disputed the items online and I'm sure they'll be removed because they aren't mine, but in the mean time I'm screwed with having to wait for my loan and re-applying yada yada yada....my question is can I just go and file suit against them for it being there, it's showing dates since last April, I just hadn't seen til now and I'm fuming!!! Where and what do I file? How much is small claims for, upto 5k? Any help would be great! THANK YOU!! Lots of luck everyone!!!

I'm planning on going to the courthouse on Monday to see what it is, how on earth could it be my address when these REALLY AREN'T MINE!! I have NEVER owed that much money to ANY credit card, and have NEVER had a discover....did apply a couple of years ago but was declined, this is a HUGE error and I'm sooooooooooooo mad that I now have to wait to get equity for home improvement....can I just immediately counter sue them? These aren't mine!!

One of the two judgements....(that again I repeat were not mine REALLY) got deleted right away and the second got "verified"...............which is BS!!!! I went to the court house and got everything I could on the supposed judgement......it wasn't mine, the only thing we shared was the same last name....anyway, I called the "collection" agency and they said that they DO NOT report to any of the credit bureaus and NEVER verify anything, as a matter of fact they didn't have my SS # or anything on me period (new century financial if anyone cares) so I then called experian and they blamed the courthouse, said it was them who verified, so I went to the the courthouse, NOPE wasn't them, it must have been new century's attorney....so I called them, they couldn't tell me anything and said I was a third party and that they do not verify anything either..........so how the heck is this on my flippin credit report???????? I called an attorney...... The attorney said before he would file a suit he would write one letter and then he could go to court because I did my dispute as "not mine" on line and he needed proof in court....a paper trail...well instead of paying $160 for a letter I could do myself I did just that, wrote experian a letter saying my next stop was filing a lawsuit against them and couldn't believe they had the nerve to say they verified anything when it took me all of 5 minutes to figure out who the other person was and the only thing we had in common was a last name...to make a long story short, it's now deleted, but I am a little bummed, I was hoping for a cash settlement, this has caused MASIVE delays for me, this all came to light because I needed equity out of my home....which should have already happened if it wasn't for those lying crooks....oh well.......

SOUP ********************************** 1* Something's wrong here then. 2*Was the address different than yours. What I don't get is how they were able to link it to you with a different address than yours! When they got the info from the court the address of the other party with was with the info. Wonder if this is even on the other persons reports? Maybe it is on yours and theirs both. 3*and 4* neither of these parties report judgments That has to come from the court. 5* It's seems to me that they simply miss read the court information. 6*I guess you could send the CRA the court documents pointing out the discrepancies in both the names and the addressees. That may not make the other person happy especially if they haven't been reporting the judgments on their reports and they start listing them on his reports. But, hay who cares about keeping him happy.You want your report corrected right!!

I sent a do or die letter to experian with the court paper of who the actual debt belonged to along with phone numbers of the court, attorney and ca....they all told me it wasn't my ss# or name....if they had left it on, I'd a made some money....oh well
