Mom got that yesterday. I looked at her reports, I think it came from some kind of list service, because there's no PRM inq from them. I told her to throw it away.

If I saw a PRM I would tell her to go for it.

I got it, i have a $2000 charge off with the bank too. They buy these lists from internet related stuff, because it has a purposely misspelled middle initial that I use whenever i sign up for junk on the net.

    as always, YMMV

    Roni,
I received a pre-approval for this in June and applied in July 0% for 9 mo 12.74% thereafter. No PRM was done on any of my profiles for this as far as I can tell. They gave me 15,000 cl and I'm pleased with their web site and autopay (just like citi since they are an affiliate now). They pulled Experian and since you are now in this area they should pull there for you too if you apply.

Well, I broke my fast and applied, get the ole "you will get your card in 3-4 day if approved." I guess that means not this time. No more apps until there is world peace!

    Annie,
Mine was not instant approval, either. I waited a few business days and then called and found I was approved. They gave me a code # so I could use the automated phone system to check on my bt until I received the card. Actually, the card came in the mail BEFORE the approval letter did!

I got the same offer -- Does anyone know why the application asks for the name on your phone bill? I've never seen that before.

They assume if you will pay your phone bill, you will pay your credit card, I guess.
My phone bill is in my name...but it is listed in the phone book with both names.

They ask for the name on your phone bill as they 'verify' you by checking your name against your listing...just another form of verification.

If I get the AT&T Universal and the Wachovia card with balance transfers, I will be a very happy lady.
